Lord of Arcana puts you in the shoes of an amnesiac warrior from the land of Horodyn, a world that is home to an ancient power known as "Arcana". After a brief demo session that shows you how fun the game is when you're fully powered, you start your quest stripped of everything but a basic weapon and your underwear. Luckily, the nearby village and warrior guild is generous to the homeless, and they get you outfitted with simple gear and a list of quests as soon as you arrive in town. Most of these quests typically involve collecting a certain item or defeating creatures, but unfortunately, none are easy to do alone.

Like an average RPG, you'll gain experience with each battle, become proficient with your weapon of choice (note: the polearm is useless), and collect loot that can be used to craft better swords, armor, magic cards, and other talents. However, it seems that no matter how powerful you get, even the weakest monsters can shrug off a two-handed broadsword blow like it was nothing. No, even if it's the same kind of goblin you've been killing for three days, you'll have to mash that attack button like you're facing it for the first time.

In case you're not watching the Japanese sales charts, God Eater is a pretty popular title. The game, which plays a bit like Monster Hunter with its mission-based combat and co-op, sold more than half a million copies in about three weeks.

Now, it's coming to America as God Eater Burst, but it's packing way more content than the original.

Here, you'll create your own character known as a God Eater and set out to fight the evil mutants known as the Aragami. You'll be able to choose and customize the weapons that your character uses and then set out on more than double the missions of the original God Eater game. Seeing as multiplayer parties are key to God Eater Burst, you can play with friends via ad-hoc mode as well as online via Adhoc Party or just some AI-controlled teammates.

Final Fantasy Dissidia 2 has indeed become a reality as “Final Fantasy Dissidia 012: Duodecim”, the sequel to the hit PSP original which is a mix of fighting and RPG that stars characters from every Final Fantasy title.

The game will be formally shown in more detail at the upcoming 2010 Tokyo Game Show and will be released in 2011 on PSP (although that may just be the Japanese date).

Acclaimed character designer Tetsuya Nomura will once again be handling the character art for the title just like he did for the first Dissidia: Final Fantasy and a number of new characters (such as Final Fantasy XIII‘s Lightning) and returning favorites will make the roster.

New to this game is the “Assist System” which allows for tag-teaming. That is, you can now call out an “ally” character who will come out and assist you in battle. Further details are scarce, but this seemingly allows for fights between four characters instead of just two. Definitely a plus.

The PlayStation Portable finally gets some crazy fast-paced brawling action, in the form of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. Even though it's a pint-sized edition of the console versions released earlier in 2010, Arc System Works has translated almost every feature and detail into the PSP so you can truly take your battles on the road.

12 characters feature in the game's lineup, such as Taokaka and Tager, and you can access Unlimited versions of all of the fighters to add even more gameplay possibilities. Pick a combatant and dive right into the action with a control system that's simple but includes a lot of depth.

Along with a weak, medium and strong attack, characters have their own unique 'Drive' move. Building up a 'heat meter' by dealing and receiving attacks allows you to execute devastating 'distortion drive' manoeuvres, and you can take advantage of the 'Rapid Cancels' and 'Ukemi Tactics' to really throw your opponent off as well.

Kratos might possibly be the angriest game character ever created. We all know he accidently killed his wife and child in service to the gods, but his belligerent attitude has often made me wonder what else might have happened to him to make him so filled with rage. We get some insight into this in God of War: Ghost of Sparta, which does a wonderful job adding depth to Kratos' character while delivering one of the most fun and beautiful gameplay experiences on the PSP.

Set between God of War and God of War II, Ghost of Sparta picks up right at the end of God of War, with Kratos sitting upon his newly claimed throne looking appropriately grumpy. After all, becoming a god didn't remove the disturbing memories of his past, but now he's being plagued by a vision we've never seen before -- an old woman lying sick on a slab of stone. Convinced he can actually change this vision, Kratos sets off for Atlantis on a quest that eventually takes him back to his home of Sparta and into the realm of Thanatos, god of death.

If you've played a Bust-A-Move game before you'll know what the game is basically about. As always you use your launcher to fire a coloured bubble at a cluster of different coloured hanging bubbles. Connecting three or more of the same colour bubbles results in those bubbles disappearing. The idea is to remove all of the bubbles before the hanging bubbles descend to cross the deadline. Aside from the normal coloured bubbles there are also several special bubbles such as the Rainbow Bubble, Star Bubble and Bowling Ball Bubble that can all have a huge impact. Fired bubbles can be bounced off the walls of the field and a dotted line emanating from the launcher can help you set up fancy shots. Bust-A-Move is a simple game but it's an addictive one and as you progress through the many puzzles the game has to offer, you'll find yourself becoming more challenged and more and more addicted.

Without a doubt the biggest plus with Bust-A-Move Ghost is the sheer amount of game modes on offer. In total there are eight single-player modes and these are Classic Puzzle, Blind Puzzle, Seesaw Puzzle, Shot Puzzle, Running Launcher Puzzle, Time Warp Puzzle and Mix 'Em Up Puzzle. There are also two VS game modes. You can either play against the CPU or against a friend using the wireless function of the PSP. You can have a VS Classic Puzzle, VS Ghost Puzzle, VS Colour Puzzle, VS Blind Puzzle, VS Running Launcher Puzzle, VS Time Warp Puzzle, VS Mix 'Em Up Puzzle or a VS Count Puzzle game. Of course all of these modes are just variations on the traditional Bust-A-Move game play but nevertheless all of the variations feel sufficiently different from each other to make them worthwhile.
